Friday night, August 29, come for a potluck at 5:30pm in Karen’s lush garden sanctuary, followed by Zikr at 6:30pm. Zikr means “Remembrance” and involves simple rhythmic movements while chanting the name(s) of God in Arabic and phrases like “la illaha il Allah” which means “There is no Reality but God.” This particular Zikr practice is called “Nuri Muhammad” or “Remembrance of Light”. Live music! All are welcome!
If you are not familiar with Karen’s location, please email us in advance at peacedances@olypeacedances.org for the address.
Donations support the Dances of Universal Peace and Sufi Zikr in Olympia, and may be made in person in cash, or at our website donation page https://olypeacedances.org/donate . Please donate if you can, but if not, please come anyway!
